Celoten seznam znanstvenih virov, prehranskih standardov in baz sestave, na katerih BARFLAB temelji svoje izračune, omejitve in vsebine.

BARFLAB ne ugiba. Vsak standard, vsaka varnostna omejitev in vsak stavek v bazi znanja ima vir — prehranske smernice (NRC, AAFCO, FEDIAF), javne baze sestave živil in recenzirane znanstvene raziskave. Spodaj je celoten seznam; pod vsako postavko na kratko navedemo, za kaj jo uporabljamo.
