One recipe, tailored portions
If you care for several animals of the same species and at the same life stage, you can prepare one shared diet for them instead of separate meal plans. Select the participants and create the recipe, and the app will calculate the right portion for each animal based on its calorie requirements.
You prepare a single batch of food and, once the correct portion sizes have been determined, divide it among several bowls. You no longer need to calculate ingredient quantities manually or duplicate the recipe for multiple animals.
You can review the diet parameters as a whole or separately for each animal's portion. The calculator displays calorie content, nutritional analysis, and the BARFLAB Score. It also shows the amount needed for one day or for the entire period you want to prepare food for.
Find what you need more easily
BARFLAB 1.2.0 makes it easier to navigate your products and diets—and gives you even more options.
You can narrow your search results to exactly what you are looking for using filters. You can also select multiple animals, supplement brands, or protein sources at the same time.
Search is helpful for long selection lists too. Searching on your phone is now even more convenient, with filters always within reach as you scroll. The recipe builder has also been refined: finding ingredients is much easier, and products are organized according to the recipe.
There is no need to install a new version of BARFLAB. The catalog is updated continuously, so you can be sure you will not miss any new features and that your everyday work with the calculator will keep getting easier.
Tailored to you
We want the app to be a pleasure to use. That is why BARFLAB 1.2.0 takes into account the text size configured in your device or browser settings.
To improve readability, the layouts of forms, buttons, lists, and diet views can adapt accordingly. If you prefer to focus on text, you can free up more space by hiding images in lists.
The next time you use the app, you are sure to notice improved navigation, refined selection dialogs, and better add buttons. Opening a recipe, choosing a product, or adding a new measurement is now more convenient.
Fewer steps in the app = greater convenience
You will notice the improvements from the very first launch. BARFLAB uses your device settings to set the initial date and time format. You can also choose your preferred formats in the settings.
You no longer need to repeat the same actions several times. If you care for one animal, the app will automatically select its profile when you add measurements, files, or diet participants.
The stool observations tab now includes the Bristol Stool Form Scale, with a visual guide to seven stool types based on shape and consistency. This makes it easier to classify your pet's stool and assess whether it is normal. You can return to your saved observations at any time, so you will not forget anything and will always have valuable information at hand. You can also use it during a veterinary appointment.

You no longer need to worry about overlooking your subscription and losing access to all features. In your account settings, you will find your complete payment history and subscription details.
Whenever you need help, you can contact Support quickly. You will receive replies in your chosen conversation language, and all your cases are available in the Support requests tab.
In addition, Premium users gain access to integration features, including shared diets, animal files, and analysis of unsaved recipes.
BARFLAB 1.2.0 also brings improvements to the diet generator and BarfSense. Saving calorie targets and viewing portions are now easier. You will also notice improved app stability, making BARFLAB even more enjoyable to use.
