Refund Policy

Rules for submitting and processing refund requests and complaints about payments for BARFLAB subscriptions.

Last updated: July 10, 2026.

This article explains how refunds are handled for BARFLAB subscriptions. It complements the Terms of Service and the Subscription and Trial Terms.

In short

  • For web app purchases paid through Stripe, send refund requests and complaints about payments to us at kontakt@barflab.io.
  • If PayU is made available for a purchase in Poland, the payment will cover one monthly or annual subscription period paid in advance, without automatic renewal. Send refund requests and complaints about that payment to kontakt@barflab.io.
  • Purchases made in the app stores are subject to the refund policies of Apple or Google.
  • Charges made after a trial period that was not cancelled on time follow the same refund rules as regular subscription payments.

General rules

BARFLAB subscriptions are billed through the channel where the purchase was made:

  • Stripe for purchases in the web application,
  • PayU, only if it is made available and selected for a purchase in Poland,
  • the Apple App Store for purchases on iOS,
  • Google Play for purchases on Android.

Each channel has its own refund process. The rules below apply alongside any mandatory consumer rights granted by the law of the country of your habitual residence.

If you want to submit a refund request or a complaint about a payment, believe you were charged incorrectly, or a technical problem prevented you from using the service, write to kontakt@barflab.io with the transaction details so we can investigate. Use this contact route for payments handled by Stripe and for a purchase in Poland if PayU handled the payment.

Web application purchases (Stripe)

Payments for subscriptions bought in the web app are handled by Stripe. We receive and review the related refund requests and complaints about payments ourselves.

To submit a refund request or a complaint about a payment, write to kontakt@barflab.io and include:

  • the email address linked to your account,
  • the date and amount of the charge,
  • a short explanation of your request or complaint.

Submitting a request does not guarantee that a refund will be approved. An approved refund is issued to the payment method used for the purchase. We handle requests and complaints without undue delay and within the timeframes required by applicable law.

Purchases in Poland (PayU — if available)

If PayU is made available at checkout for a purchase in Poland, the PayU payment will cover one monthly or annual subscription period paid in advance. Access will remain active until the end of that paid period. Availability of this option depends on where the purchase is made, not on the interface language.

Such a PayU purchase will not renew automatically. No further automatic PayU charge will be scheduled at the end of the paid period, and access will expire. To continue using paid features, you will need to make a new purchase manually.

Send a refund request or a complaint about a payment handled by PayU to kontakt@barflab.io and include the details listed above. Submitting a request does not guarantee a refund. If the request is approved, we will return the funds to the payment method used for the purchase. We handle requests and complaints without undue delay and within the timeframes required by applicable law.

iOS purchases (Apple App Store)

Subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store are billed and managed by Apple. Refund requests for these purchases must be submitted directly to Apple:

Apple decides App Store refunds under its own policies. We are not able to issue refunds for purchases made through the App Store.

If you have a question about your iOS subscription status, or believe there is a service-related problem, you can still write to us at kontakt@barflab.io.

Android purchases (Google Play)

Subscriptions purchased through Google Play are billed and managed by Google. Refund requests for these purchases must be submitted through:

Google decides Play Store refunds under its own policies. We are not able to issue refunds for purchases made through Google Play.

If you have a question about your Android subscription status, or believe there is a service-related problem, you can still write to us at kontakt@barflab.io.

Trial period and refunds

BARFLAB may offer a free trial period for new users — its length and conditions are shown on the purchase screen. If the trial is linked to a renewing subscription, the paid subscription starts automatically when the trial ends, unless you cancel before it expires.

If the trial is not cancelled on time and a charge is made:

  • the charge is treated as a regular subscription payment,
  • the same refund rules apply as described above for the relevant billing channel.

To avoid a charge, cancel the subscription before the trial ends, in the same channel where it was bought.

How to request a refund or submit a complaint about a payment

  1. Web application purchases paid through Stripe: write to kontakt@barflab.io with the transaction details and say whether you are submitting a refund request or a complaint about the payment.
  2. Purchases in Poland paid through PayU, if that option is made available: write to kontakt@barflab.io with the transaction details and say whether you are submitting a refund request or a complaint about the payment.
  3. iOS purchases: submit a request through Apple’s Report a Problem page.
  4. Android purchases: submit a request through the Google Play refund process.

We handle requests and complaints sent to us without undue delay and within the timeframes required by applicable law.
