Digital Service Terms

Rules for access, updates, conformity, deletion, and consumer rights for the digital service.

Last updated: March 29, 2026.

This article explains how the BarfLab digital service is provided and supported. It complements the Terms of Service.

In short

  • Access to paid features begins after purchase confirmation through the relevant billing channel.
  • We may provide updates, fixes, and changes required for operation, security, and conformity of the service.
  • After cancellation or expiry, paid features remain available until the end of the paid billing period.
  • If you delete your account manually, service data is removed without undue delay except where we must keep some data by law.

Scope of the digital service

The BarfLab digital service may include, depending on your plan and platform:

  • account creation and login,
  • pet profiles,
  • BARF diet calculations,
  • saved recipes and synchronized data,
  • export features,
  • settings and help content,
  • support features related to your account or subscription.

Some functions may require internet access, a user account, or an active paid plan.

Technical requirements

To use the service properly, you generally need:

  • a current web browser or a supported iOS or Android device,
  • internet access,
  • an active email address,
  • software and device settings that allow secure network communication.

Some features may work differently depending on device, operating system version, or app store limitations.

Start of access and updates

Access to the free part of the service usually begins after account creation or when the site is made available to you.

Access to paid features begins after successful purchase confirmation from the relevant billing channel.

We may provide updates, fixes, security patches, and feature changes that are necessary to:

  • keep the service compliant with the agreement,
  • maintain security and stability,
  • improve compatibility,
  • fix bugs or performance problems.

Support and conformity of the service

If BarfLab does not work as agreed, contact us at kontakt@barflab.io.

If you are a consumer, you may have rights under applicable law when a digital service is not in conformity with the agreement. Depending on the case and the law that applies, this may include:

  • restoration of conformity,
  • price reduction,
  • termination of the contract,
  • other remedies available under mandatory consumer law.

We may first try to fix the problem, restore access, or provide an update if that is appropriate and legally sufficient.

When reporting a problem, it helps to specify what is affected, on which platform the issue appears, and when it started. This makes support handling faster.

Suspension, expiry, and data retention

If your paid plan expires or is cancelled, access to paid features continues until the end of the current billing period unless mandatory law requires otherwise.

If an account stays inactive after subscription expiry, we may delete the account and its related service data 1 year after expiry.

If you delete your account manually, account data is deleted without undue delay. Data that we must keep for legal, tax, accounting, or claims-related reasons may be retained for as long as required by law.

Invoices and similar accounting documents may be kept even after account deletion.

Consumer right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer and purchase the service at a distance, you may have a statutory right of withdrawal unless an exception applies.

If, before the withdrawal period ends, you ask for immediate access to digital content or a digital service and confirm the required acknowledgements, your withdrawal right may be limited or lost to the extent permitted by applicable law.

For subscriptions purchased through Apple App Store or Google Play, store-specific rules and platform limitations may also apply.

Complaints

Complaints about the digital service may be sent to kontakt@barflab.io.

Please describe:

  • what does not work,
  • when the problem appeared,
  • what device or platform you use,
  • what result you expected.

We handle complaints without undue delay and within the time limits required by applicable law.
