Subscription and Trial Terms

Billing, renewal, trial, cancellation, and refund rules for the BARFLAB Private and BARFLAB Pro plans.

Last updated: July 10, 2026.

This article explains how BARFLAB subscriptions and trial periods work. It complements the Terms of Service.

In short

  • BARFLAB may offer the BARFLAB Private and BARFLAB Pro plans with monthly or annual billing.
  • New users may receive a free trial period — its length and conditions are shown on the purchase screen.
  • For a renewing subscription, cancelling stops the next renewal but does not shorten a period you have already paid for.
  • If PayU is made available for a purchase in Poland, you will be able to pay in advance for one monthly or annual subscription period. That period will not renew automatically; after it expires, continued access requires a new manual purchase.
  • How you manage a renewing subscription depends on the channel where you bought it: the web application, the Apple App Store, or Google Play.

Available plans

BARFLAB may offer at least the following plans:

  • BARFLAB Private: personal, non-commercial use — diets for your own pets,
  • BARFLAB Pro: commercial and professional use, including work with clients.

You must not use the BARFLAB Private plan for client work, paid activity, or other commercial uses.

The current plan scope, price, billing period, and currency are shown in the offer description or on the purchase screen — in the web application or in the relevant app store.

Billing periods and renewal

Renewing subscriptions may be offered in monthly or annual billing periods.

Unless stated otherwise on the purchase screen, a renewing subscription handled by Stripe, the Apple App Store, or Google Play renews automatically for the next billing period until cancelled.

The exact date of the next charge depends on the billing channel you use.

If PayU is made available at checkout for a purchase in Poland, a PayU purchase will cover one monthly or annual subscription period paid in advance. It will not be an automatically renewing subscription, and no further automatic PayU charge will be scheduled at the end of the paid period. Access will expire at the end of that period; to continue, you will need to make a new purchase manually.

Trial period

New users may receive a free trial period if such an offer is currently available. The length and conditions of the trial are shown on the purchase screen.

If the trial is linked to a renewing subscription, a paid subscription period starts when the trial ends, unless you cancel earlier, as indicated on the purchase screen.

As a rule, each user can use the trial only once, unless we clearly state otherwise.

Billing channels

Depending on where you buy, billing may be handled by:

  • Stripe for purchases in the web application,
  • PayU, if it is made available and selected for a purchase in Poland,
  • the Apple App Store for purchases on iOS,
  • Google Play for purchases on Android.

Subscription state in the apps may be managed through RevenueCat.

Stripe, the Apple App Store, and Google Play may apply their own purchase flows, tax rules, invoicing rules, and subscription management tools.

The payment methods available at that time will be shown at checkout.

How to manage your subscription

You manage your subscription in the channel where it was bought:

  • purchased in the web application: through the subscription settings in the web application or the Stripe customer portal,
  • purchased on iOS: through the subscription settings in the Apple App Store,
  • purchased on Android: through the subscription settings in Google Play.

RevenueCat may handle subscription state inside the apps, but it does not replace the rules of the channel where you made the purchase.

If PayU is made available in Poland, a period paid through it will not renew automatically, so there is no renewal to turn off. Once it ends, continuing access requires a new purchase.

Cancelling a renewing subscription

You can turn off renewal for a renewing subscription before the next billing date in the billing channel where it was bought.

After cancelling:

  • the subscription stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for,
  • it will not renew for the next period,
  • paid features may be switched off after the paid period ends.

Deleting the app alone does not cancel the subscription.

Refunds

Refund rules depend on the billing channel and mandatory provisions of law.

  • For subscriptions bought in the web application (Stripe), we handle refund requests directly — write to kontakt@barflab.io.
  • If PayU handles the payment for a purchase in Poland, send a refund request or a complaint about that payment to kontakt@barflab.io. Submitting a request does not guarantee a refund; we return funds only after approving the request.
  • For subscriptions bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play, refunds are generally handled under the rules of the relevant store.

See the Refund Policy for details. If you believe a charge was incorrect, write to kontakt@barflab.io and include the transaction details.

Failed payments and changes to terms

If a payment cannot be collected, paid access may be limited, downgraded to a lower plan, or ended after the current entitlement expires.

We may change plan prices or terms in the future. Changes apply going forward, not retroactively, and will be communicated through the app, the website, or the relevant app store where required.
