How do I add ingredients and supplements?

Add a product or supplement to a diet, set the amount, and check the change in the analysis.

In an open diet, you can add ingredients and supplements from the catalog and set their amounts.

Steps

  1. Open a diet for editing.
  2. Go to its ingredient list.
  3. Start adding an ingredient or supplement.
  4. Search for an item and select it from the catalog.
  5. Set the amount and confirm it.
  6. Open the analysis to check how the values and warnings changed.

Result

The item appears in the diet. After an amount changes, BARFLAB recalculates nutrient values, ratios, and warnings.

Limitations

A suggested amount is guidance, not confirmation that the whole diet is correct. For a supplement, make sure the selected catalog item and its composition match the label of the product you use.
