This article explains how BarfLab subscriptions and trial periods work. It complements the Terms of Service.
In short
- BarfLab may offer Standard and Pro plans on monthly or yearly billing.
- New users may receive a 7-day trial.
- Cancellation stops the next renewal, but it does not shorten an already paid billing period.
- Subscription management depends on the purchase channel: web, Apple App Store, or Google Play.
Available plans
BarfLab may offer at least the following plans:
- Standard: personal, non-commercial use,
- Pro: commercial and professional use.
Using the Standard plan for paid client work, business operations, or other commercial activity is not allowed.
Current plan scope, price, billing period, and currency are shown at checkout or in the app store listing.
Billing periods and renewal
Subscriptions may be offered in monthly or yearly billing periods.
Unless stated otherwise at checkout, subscriptions renew automatically for the next billing period until cancelled.
The exact next billing date depends on the billing channel you used.
Trial period
New users may receive a 7-day trial where offered.
If the trial is attached to a recurring subscription, the paid subscription starts automatically after the trial unless you cancel before the trial ends, as shown at checkout.
Each user is generally entitled to a trial only once unless we clearly state otherwise.
Billing channels
Depending on where you subscribe, billing may be handled through:
- Paddle for web checkout,
- Apple App Store for iOS,
- Google Play for Android.
On mobile platforms, subscription status inside the app may be managed through RevenueCat.
The billing provider or app store may apply its own purchase flow, tax handling, invoice rules, and subscription management tools.
How to manage your subscription
You should manage your subscription through the same channel where it was purchased:
- web purchase: according to the tools and messages shown in checkout or by the payment provider,
- iOS purchase: through Apple App Store subscription settings,
- Android purchase: through Google Play subscription settings.
RevenueCat may reflect subscription status inside the app, but it does not replace the rules of the app store or payment provider through which the purchase was made.
Cancellation
You can cancel renewal before the next billing date using the billing channel through which you subscribed.
After cancellation:
- your subscription remains active until the end of the already paid billing period,
- renewal stops for the next billing period,
- paid features may become unavailable after the paid period ends.
Deleting the app does not itself cancel a subscription.
Refunds
Refund handling depends on the billing channel and mandatory law.
- For subscriptions purchased through Apple App Store or Google Play, refunds are generally handled under the relevant store rules.
- For subscriptions purchased through web checkout, refund handling may depend on Paddle procedures and applicable law.
If you believe you were charged incorrectly, contact kontakt@barflab.io and include the transaction details.
Failed payments and changes
If a payment cannot be collected, paid access may be limited, downgraded, or ended after the current entitlement expires.
We may change prices or plan terms in the future. Changes apply prospectively, not retroactively, and will be communicated through the relevant billing channel, app, or website where appropriate.
