Refund Policy

Rules for requesting and processing refunds for BarfLab subscriptions.

Last updated: March 29, 2026.

This article explains how refunds are handled for BarfLab subscriptions. It complements the Terms of Service and the Subscription and Trial Terms.

In short

  • Refund rules depend on the billing channel: Paddle (web), Apple App Store (iOS), or Google Play (Android).
  • EU consumers who purchase through the web have a 14-day statutory right of withdrawal, subject to exceptions for digital content.
  • App store purchases are generally subject to the refund policies of Apple or Google.
  • Charges incurred during a trial period that was not cancelled in time are subject to the same refund rules as regular subscription payments.
  • To request a refund, contact us at kontakt@barflab.io or the relevant app store.

General rules

BarfLab subscriptions are billed through one of three channels depending on where the purchase was made:

  • Paddle for web purchases,
  • Apple App Store for iOS purchases,
  • Google Play for Android purchases.

Each channel has its own refund process. The rules below apply alongside any mandatory consumer protection rights granted by the law of your country of habitual residence.

If you believe you were charged incorrectly or experienced a technical issue that prevented you from using the service, contact us at kontakt@barflab.io with your transaction details so we can investigate.

Web purchases (Paddle)

14-day right of withdrawal for EU consumers

If you are a consumer in the European Union or another jurisdiction that grants a statutory cooling-off period, you have the right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of the transaction without giving a reason.

To exercise this right, send a clear statement of withdrawal to kontakt@barflab.io before the 14-day period expires. You may use any unambiguous written form.

If you requested immediate access to the digital service before the withdrawal period ended and provided the required acknowledgements at checkout, your right of withdrawal may be limited or lost to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Refund after withdrawal

If the withdrawal is valid, we will refund the amount paid without undue delay, and in any case no later than 14 days after receiving your withdrawal notice. The refund will be issued through the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless you agree otherwise.

Other web refund requests

Outside the statutory withdrawal period, refunds for web purchases are not guaranteed but may be considered on a case-by-case basis depending on the circumstances. Contact kontakt@barflab.io with the relevant details.

iOS purchases (Apple App Store)

Subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store are billed and managed by Apple. Refund requests for these purchases should be submitted directly to Apple:

Apple handles App Store refund decisions under its own policies. We do not have the ability to issue refunds for purchases made through the App Store.

If you have a question about your iOS subscription status or believe there is a service-related issue, you can still contact us at kontakt@barflab.io for support.

Android purchases (Google Play)

Subscriptions purchased through Google Play are billed and managed by Google. Refund requests for these purchases should be submitted through:

Google handles Play Store refund decisions under its own policies. We do not have the ability to issue refunds for purchases made through Google Play.

If you have a question about your Android subscription status or believe there is a service-related issue, you can still contact us at kontakt@barflab.io for support.

Trial period and refunds

BarfLab may offer a 7-day trial for new users. If the trial is attached to a recurring subscription, the paid subscription starts automatically after the trial ends unless you cancel before the trial period expires.

If you did not cancel the trial in time and were charged:

  • the charge is treated as a regular subscription payment,
  • the same refund rules apply as described above for the relevant billing channel,
  • EU consumers who purchased through the web may still exercise the 14-day withdrawal right if it has not expired or been waived.

To avoid being charged, cancel the subscription before the trial ends using the same channel through which you subscribed.

How to request a refund

  1. Web purchases: send an email to kontakt@barflab.io with the subject “Refund request” and include:

    • the email address connected to your BarfLab account,
    • the date and amount of the charge,
    • your transaction or order ID (if available),
    • a brief description of the reason for the request.
  2. iOS purchases: submit your request through Apple’s Report a Problem page.

  3. Android purchases: submit your request through Google Play’s refund process.

We will respond to refund requests sent to us without undue delay and within any deadlines required by applicable law.
